It's the season of craft

We've got a craft fair coming up next weekend, it'll be my first one ever and I'm quite excited. Not quite as excited as my seven year old daughter who is most certainly my best supporter.
I've been googling options for table decorating -
rather, than of course making things!
I'm not only selling my own work - lots of vintage art and books in frames and interesting oddments upcycled - I'll be selling some unadorned bits and pieces including a selection of vintage books.

The fair is on at Rye Community Centre, Saturday 26th May 11 am until 5pm.

Crafty Coffee

I';m going to Crafty Coffee this morning, after dropping the children off at school and whizzing the dog around the streets. Crafty Coffee morning has been set up by a new friend who has asked a few of us if we want to meet up, with own crafts and share and talk. Lovely, and of course, it is in a cafe so there is the Monday morning essential coffee.

On Saturday though we went to a fab local event to celebrate the opening of the Stade local space in Hastings - Crafternoon Tea Party in Hastings - http://bohemiawga.weebly.com/crafternoon-tea-club---stade-saturdays.html.

We decorated our cakes of protest and friendship, drank some tea, listened to some chill tea, and actually met the objective of chatting and coming together with other people. Really brilliant event and has made me wonder if we could do more of these. Or craft with cocktails?

Retrofy Hastings opens

Hello all and welcome to the new Retrofy Hastings...

I am extremely excited to say I'll be blogging, selling, craft fair attending and all about Retrofy. What is this Retrofy, I hear you ask? Well as my six year old says; 'It's old things made new'. All fantastic designed items, sought after and located from all over the local area - some re-made, see this lovely ex- Scrabble set, and some left in their lovely orginal state.
